Hines Hines, founded by Gerald D Hines in 1957, operates in 30 countries. It oversees nearly $96 billion in high-performing assets across residential, logistics, retail, office, and mixed-use strategies.
Hines, the global real estate investment, development, and property manager, has appointed Tim Jowett as managing director, head of Asia research.
Jowett will construct the Hines outlook for commercial real estate market fundamentals and pricing. He will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Josh Scoville, global head of research.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the real estate research and investment industry, of which almost 15 have been with a focus on the Asia property markets. His responsibilities over this career have spanned all aspects of private equity investment including research, acquisition, asset management, portfolio management, and capital raising.
“Tim’s experience, deep knowledge of regional markets within Asia, and track record of leveraging insights to make strategic fund and portfolio management decisions make him an invaluable asset to our team,” Josh Scoville, global head of research at Hines, said.
Prior to joining Hines, Jowett was at Grosvenor Asia where he was managing director and head of Greater China for several years following his role as director of investment strategy and analysis. Previously, Jowett led or served on research teams alongside investment teams at Heitman, Moonbridge Capital, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and JP Morgan Asset Management.
